The Island on Lake Travis was developed by Prime in 1988 as a 212-unit luxury condominium project. During construction, the Project was converted into a luxury active senior retirement resort, which was managed by Brookdale Living Communities. Though operated as an active senior retirement resort, the project’s original design as luxury condominiums is evident in the unit layouts, vaulted ceilings, and project amenities. The project was later converted to condominiums in 2007.
