The James R. Thompson Center is a 1.2 million SF office building north of City Hall on LaSalle Street. In July 2022, Prime/Capri Interests, LLC entered into a build-to-suit agreement with Google allowing Google to own and occupy the Thompson Center upon the completion of its planned core and shell renovation. The redevelopment of the Thompson Center will bring approximately 5,000 tech jobs to the Central Loop.
